The Conscious Aging Alliance is proud to be a member of The Encore Network. This Network, founded by Encore.org, is a resource for organizations and leaders who have a shared goals of transforming the aging of America – one of the most significant demographic shifts in our nation’s history – into a powerful, positive source of social and individual renewal.
In a world where midlife is being redefined as a longer period of active engagement and continued contribution, more than 50 Network organizations are developing new ways to envision this life stage and put this talent to work. While each has its own mission and audience, they work in three major areas:
- Helping social purpose organizations and government agencies use encore talent
- Helping encore-seekers discover what’s next and connect with opportunities
- Strengthening communities by engaging encore talent
The Network offers many benefits, including
Increased visibility through Encore.org’s website; inclusion in media stories; connecting with other network organizations locally, on conference calls and webinars, and at Encore.org conferences.
Local connections, as the Encore Network grows. Our organizations collaborate in a growing number of cities including Boston, Cleveland, Minneapolis/St. Paul, New York City, Phoenix, Portland OR, Seattle, Tampa Bay,
Sharing of Encore resources, allowing organizations to find existing resources rather than create them, and offering a wider audience for resources created by encore organizations.
Group learning through webinars, conference calls and the Encore.org annual conference
A mechanism for collective action
